Paediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP), Fourth Edition is an evidence-based course with essential medical content for the assessment and management of infants and children in the field. The course is based on the "Nancy's Caroline Emergency Care in the Streets - 8th Edition, American Version" Manual and it is divided in 3 components:
Online: a total of 52 module will be studied. Each module has an online test a total of 52 tests. Estimated amount of 712hours of study, plus 5 reflections of 40h each.
On site Classroom based training: 3 weeks / 12 hour days covering 21 modules plus final exams. Total of 252hours.
Placements: AT STUDENTS OWN COST on top of course fee (These are unable to be carried out in the UK, the centre has connections with various sites around the world to help facilitate). 4 weeks of prehospital and hospital placements. Total of 336 Hours.
